Van Excellence (Freight Transport Association)
Van Excellence is for the industry by the industry. Administered by Freight Transport Association (FTA), Van Excellence promotes best practice in van operations, raises standards and recognises excellence.
The Van Excellence Code provides a best practice framework that sets out minimum standards to ensure safe and efficient van fleets. It covers vehicle roadworthiness, safe working including risk analysis, vehicle standards, driver licensing and driver behaviour, competence and compliance. The Van Excellence Code is what ‘good’ looks like for van operators.
